Glutathione
As one of our body’s strongest antioxidants, glutathione assists with detoxification of free radicals, heavy metals, carcinogens, UV radiation and other chemical compounds. In the lungs and nasal passageways, glutathione acts to thin mucous secretions and in the liver helps to breakdown histamines, the main molecule responsible for allergy symptoms.

Vitamin C
Vitamin C has been shown to decrease blood levels of histamine, and raise levels of glutathione, helping to reduce congestion, fullness and runny nose. Vitamin C’s immune enhancing effects also help to prevent infection and reduce duration of an illness.

Quercetin
As an antioxidant, quercetin regulates immune function and reduces inflammation by blocking the release of histamines. It is useful for managing allergy symptoms, and when paired with Vitamin C, quercetin reduces the incidence of oxidative damage caused by glutathione depletion.

Spirulina
Recent studies have shown that the blue green algae Spirulina platensis acts on allergy symptoms by significantly reducing the secretion of an inflammatory cytokine IL-4. Spirulina is also a rich source of plant-based iron, protein & vitamin c.

Nettles
Packed with nutrients like vitamins A, C and trace minerals Urtica dioica, commonly known as Stinging Nettle leaf, has been shown in studies to inhibit pro-inflammatory pathways related to allergic rhinitis.
